Edo 2020: I have not moved to another party yet – Obaseki



Governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki, announced on Wednesday that he has not moved to a new party yet.

The governor, who made this known via his Twitter handle, said his major concern at the moment is to curb the spread of the  Covid-19 pandemic in his state.

INSIDE REPORT had reported that Obaseki dumped the All Progressives Congress (APC) after a brief meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday.

Governor Obaseki had disclosed that he will be pursuing his second term ambition as governor in the forth coming Edo state election in September, 2020 but is yet to reveal the party he will be contesting under.

He tweeted, “I have not moved to a new platform yet to seek re-election. My focus now is to control the spread of the coronavirus pandemic, which is ravaging our country and threatening our healthcare system. Stay safe.”
