EPL: Manchester United vs Everton team news, predicted lineup, kickoff

Manchester United host Everton in the Premier League tonight as both teams aim to make it two wins in a row.

Carlo Ancelotti’s men bounced back after an unexpected 2-0 defeat by Newcastle when they saw off Leeds 2-1, while United responded to their stunning defeat by Sheffield United and goalless draw with Arsenal by recording a thumping 9-0 victory over nine-man Southampton.

United enter tonight’s fixture in second spot in the Premier League with 44 points, three behind Man City – who have a game in hand – while Everton are seventh-placed with 36 points, having played 20 matches.

Team news

Following a knee operation, centre-back Phil Jones remains an absentee for United. Up top, Edinson Cavani is fit for the Red Devils but may start on the bench, and Eric Bailly is a doubt in central defence.

For Everton, goalkeeper Jordan Pickford is still out injured, but midfielder Allan has returned to training.
