After a devastating start to the restart of the Premier League, Arsenal will now face a daunting trip to Southampton looking to avoid a third successive defeat.
Mikel Arteta side is piling up with Injuries, with the Gunners sitting in 11th and facing their first bottom-half finish in the league after 25 years.
However, the Saints have been on form before the league’s suspension by defeating Norwich with ease.
Now 10 points clear of the relegation zone, Saints can breathe a little easier and look to rise up further in the last eight games.
Southampton can now recall Shane Long after the Irish forward missed the game against Norwich with a muscle complaint. Moussa Djenepo is still suspended.
Arsenal on the other hand have a litany of injuries, Bernd Leno (knee), Calum Chambers (knee), Pablo Mari (ankle), Gabriel Martinelli (knee), Cedric Soares (facial) and Lucas Torreira (ankle) are all out. Sokratis Papastathopoulos and Granit Xhaka are back in full training, while David Luiz is suspended.
