FA Cup final: Arsenal vs Chelsea team news, predicted lineup

Arsenal have no new injury concerns as manager Mikel Arteta prepares to lead his side in Saturday evening’s FA Cup final against Chelsea.

With a first trophy as a head coach in his sights, the Spaniard is set to continue with the five-at-the-back shape which worked to great effect against holders Manchester City in the semi-final.

Arteta will be without midfielder Mesut Ozil, who has not featured since the restart last month and has reportedly spent the last few days in Turkey.

Meanwhile, Chelsea boss Frank Lampard is also eyeing his first silverware as manager and is boosted by the return of star men in midfield and attack.

Alongside Ozil, the Gunners will be without defender Shkodran Mustafi, who was injured in the victory over City and has since undergone surgery on a hamstring injury.

Other defensive options Pablo Mari and Calum Chambers are also out with ankle and knee complaints respectively and former Southampton man Cedric Soares is cup-tied to the Saints and cannot feature.

Arsenal will also miss Gabriel Martinelli, who has shone in the cup competitions this season but is out with a long-term knee injury.

Elsewhere, No.1 goalkeeper Bernd Leno has recovered from a knee injury sustained in the 2-1 defeat to Brighton in the Premier League last month.

However, Arteta has confirmed in-form shot-stopper Emiliano Martinez will continue between the sticks.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek will miss the final for the Blues after picking up a minor injury in training on Thursday.

The 24-year-old had recently returned to full fitness after a spell plagued with numerous issues but will miss the contest at Wembley.

But Lampard is buoyed by the return of N’Golo Kante, who has returned to fitness after a hamstring niggle.

Elsewhere, Willian is also available for selection after missing Chelsea’s last game with an ankle complaint and will aim to continue his fine form since the restart.

Arsenal probable starting XI: Martinez; Bellerin, Holding, Luiz, Tierney, Maitland-Niles; Xhaka, Ceballos; Pepe, Aubameyang; Lacazette.

Chelsea probable starting XI: Caballero; James, Azpilicueta, Rudiger, Zouma, Alonso; Kante, Kovacic; Mount, Pulisic, Giroud.

Kick off time: 17:30PM
