Federal high Court denied EFCC’s application to forfeit Saraki’s properties

The Federal High Court in Lagos has refused to give the application of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for a forfeiture Order on the Ikoyi houses belonging to Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki.

According to the court rulings,  that the houses were not purchased with an illicit fund or of any illegal activity.

Justice Liman Mohammed who passed the  judgement also stated that the EFCC has not provided any proof to back  the commission’s claims that the money with which the said houses belonging to Saraki was bought in connection with Kwara state’s funds. And with such the court has denied the economic and financial crime commission (EFCC)  the power to take possession of the houses.
