Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State has lifted the Covid-19 lockdown in the state completely.
The governor announced this during the state’s press briefing on coronavirus on Thursday.
Ganduje has also asked civil servants in the state to return to work on Monday, July 6, 2020.
Also, the state’s Director-General, Media and Communications, Salihu Yakasai, confirmed the announcement in a tweet .
“H.E @GovUmarGanduje removes the lockdown in Kano State which was imposed due to the coronavirus. However, a curfew is still in place from 10pm to 4am daily. This means people can go about their business from 4am to 10pm,” Yakasai tweeted.
Kano state, is among the states with high number of Covid-19 cases in the country, with over 100 Almajirai tested positive for the virus today as announced by the state government.
