Ondo state governor Rotimi Akeredolu, who had tested positive for Covid-19 barely a week ago,has anounced his full recovery from the virus on Monday.
Akeredolu in a briefing, said after spending days in isolation, Doctors confirmed him negative after running the test twice on him.
His announcement came less than 24 hours after his deputy governor, Agboola Ajayi, asked him to hand over government to him after 21 days as provided by the constitution because he was in self-isolation.
According to the governor, he is fit to continue in his capacity as governor of Ondo state.
Meanwhile, the wife of the governor, who had also tested positive for Covid-19 is still in isolation.
