Nigeria Immigration service speaks on recruitment, warn applicants

The Nigeria Immigration Service, NIS, has warned applicants against using fake application website.

The NIS added that the application is free, urging applicants not to pay any fee for the its recruitment.

The Comptroller General, NIS, Mr. Muhammad Babandede, gave the warning in a statement by the Service Public Relations Officer ,SPEO, Mr. Sunday James, on Tuesday in Abuja, the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports.

Babandede gave the warning while reacting to fake news making rounds on social media.

The comptroller who wrote on that NIS websites on social media said, “These are fraudsters with the intention of defrauding innocent and unsuspecting Nigerians of their hard-earned money.

“The Service had warned severally and is still warning the public to avoid such fake recruitment offer which is not officially posted on the official NIS website.

“Also, no fee whatsoever is charged for NIS recruitment,” he said.

He also advised the public to stay away from harmful websites adding that the NIS would always announce its official recruitment through credible Nigerian dailies and media platforms for the attention of the public.
